LET'S VINTAGE!!!

Templo de Debod, Madrid, Spain. November, 2015.

"Keep the pictures, they never change-only the people in them"

Dear fiends,

hope you had a nice weekend and thanks for all the visits I received  in these days, I'm really glad!

Here in Madrid is a sunny day but cold has just arrived so it's time to throw the coat out of the closet.

Considering is fall, therefore the season with the best colors, I chose as location the gardens around

the "Debod temple", an Egyptian temple from the second century B.C. that consists of a gift from

Egypt to Spain as a reward for the aid in war.

Today I'll introduce you a new post in vintage style, with a modern touch. As you can see I mixed

modern clothes with vintage accessories, especially the hat that recalls the 20's. In fact fashion

industry is constantly looking for innovation, revolution and transgression, but always looks at the

past, taking the cue from it. Vintage fashion is like a cult for a lot of fashion lovers: is not just to

have old clothes or accessories, but it's about an added value that comes from a time before where

every single piece of fabric was unique.

Also make-up is really interesting: cat's eyes, red lips and porcelain skin.....light makeup

but taken care in details: black eye-liner and red lipstick will be essentials!!!!

As I anticipated in previous posts here in Madrid there's a new big Primark store, in the "Granvia"

avenue: I really suggest  to enter and enjoy of this huge store. Seems to be in a shopping center

and there you could find for small prices pieces fashionable and trendy, along with everyday things

(tights, underwear, trinkets, cosmetics.....).it's an obligatory stop for fashion lovers!!!!

Hope you like this post, realized with the great photographer Jesùs Ruiz, which two years ago took

me a very glam photoshoot  on a red Vespa, recalling the italian style "La dolce vita" (it's the first

post on my blog, titled "Around the city by Vespa").

Have a nice day and see you soon!

AUTUMN IN THE CITY

Parque de Retiro, Madrid, Spain. November 2015.

"Autumn is a second Spring when every leaf is a flower"

Good morning everybody,

it’s Monday, I know, the worst day of the week, so I hope to enjoy a bit your day with my new post!

I realized it in a wonderful place, so popular here in Madrid: the “Parque del Retiro”, an oasis of

peace right in the city centre. It’s a huge park, with a momunent in classical style to Alfonso XII and

a small lake in the middle, full of little boats where people, mostly couples, could take pleasure in this

relaxing placeespecially in autumn for its colors. Still within the Park I suggest another charming

corner, “El Palacio de Cristal”, a classical building in metal and glass structure, that regularly hosts

exhibitions.

In this post, that I particularly like, I’ll show you two “must have” of this Fall-Winter season, I mean

the burgundy color and high-leg boots. Yes guys, these are one of the trends of the moment!!!

Regarding burgundy is not only in clothes, shoes or accessories, but also in make-up: lipsticks and

eyeshadows in this color are relly cool and if you are brunettes is the top: this color will bring out

the best of you!!! As you can see I used it for the bag, in reptile print, and for this suede dress. I

suggest to combine burgundy with black or white, or the light blue too, mainly if denim.

About the high-leg boots are so glam, in my opinion, and very femenine: this model I wear is perfect

with a dress, 'cause is more elegant, but in other version you could find boots more casual, to wear

with jeans or leggins.

Considering is Autumn you need a nice wool coat, medium length and classic.

Hope you like this post and I'll be glad to receive any comments or suggestions about the look!!!

Have a nice day and see you soon.....

Sophia

METROPOLITAN ATTITUDE

                                                                                   Granvìa, Madrid, Spain. November 2015

"El que està acostumbrado a viajar sabe que siempre es                                                           necesario partir algùn dìa"

Hello everybody,

first of all I'd like to thank you for visiting every time my blog and google+ account: it's really

important for me, especially considering that after I graduated in Law I decided to embarking on the

fashion world that has always been my passion. So thank you very much and hope you'll continue

reading my posts also in the future and you'll increase!!!!!

Today I chose a very popular location in Madrid: "la Granvìa", I mean, the main street in the center

of the city, known for its big stores, restaurants and elegant buildings. At any time you could find

locals going to work or tourists shopping (here a couple of weeks ago opened the greatest Primark

store in Spain) or posing for a selfie.

This time I selected an outfit in fall style, opting for two main colors: white and silver. It's a look that

could be considered casual-chic: indeed is comfortable as a typical casual outfit, perfect for people

used to travel or move a lot, but with a personal nice touch.

In my opinion the centerpiece are the cigarette pants: skinny, python print and with cuff to highlight

ankles. Their singularity lies in the colour: most of times you'll find python print in other color tones,

as beige or dark brown. I really felt in love with this pants!

Considering is a day outfit I combined it with a pair of sneakers, a white sweater with decorative

buttons on the wrists and a faux fur vest. As I told you I love contrasts and this is a good example:

the combination of sporty elements like these shoes, trendy details like python trousers and posh

components as the vest.

In conclusion, if you wouldn't to be late don't miss a big watch and a small chain shoulder bag,

practical and fashionable as that I wear, in matelassè leather, inspired by the Chanel bags collection.

Have a nice week and hope you like this new post!!!!

See you!!!!

NEVER WITHOUT MY JEGGINGS

Plaza de la Villa, Madrid, Spain. November 2015

"Drunk people, children and leggings always tell the truth"

Good night my fashion friends and readers,

hope you're fine and enjoying these first days of November!!!!

Today I'd like to share with you a new post realized in Plaza de la Villa, a square in the center of

Madrid and in La Latina neighborhood, characterized by big squares and narrow alleys, in a

medieval structure. This place is also famous for its nightlife: in all the area you could find a lot of

pubs, some with live music shows, taverns, tapas bars and restaurants, totally full on weekends.

Interesting is also the colorful market La Cebada, one of the biggest markets in Madrid, built in 1875

inspiring by the Parisian market Les Halles.

In this post I opted for a casual look: jeggings, blouse, high heels and a clutch bag. It's a simple

outfit but well combined could be snappy. Moreover, as I red in the typical women's magazines tests,

men particularly appreciate leggings or jeggins, especially if matched with a pair of high heels. Are

comfortables, fit well to women's curves and could be worn whether by day or night. I chose a model

from Calzedonia, an italian brand that I love, in a ripped model, as suggest the current fashion and I

combined it with an elegant  vintage blouse, bought from the online store Sheinside. In my opinion is

the perfect look for the office, as much as for your free time.

Considering is November and even here in Spain cold is coming, I pick out a nice coat, light but also

warm, in a blue color, coupled with flower earrings and the nail polish.

Hope you like this post and I'd like to get your opinion on it!!!!

See you soon!!!
