Hi girls,

as some of you already knows the 8th of September was my birthday, my thirtieth b-day!!!

That's impressive, although I honestly feel still young in some respects, full of energy and ideals.
At the end of August I came back to Italy, to the village where I grew up, with new projects in progress. It's a new beginning, 'cause when you return from a long journey, a life experience of over five years, you're so different inside. Places are always the same, habits too, but there's a new world within you, which people usually don't recognize or understand, especially family and friends. Get involved, adapt to new realities, learn a new language and leave the comfort zone can only fortify your personality and remove many prejudices and social clichés, but at the same time makes stronger that sense of belonging to the earth from which you come, bringing up that melancholy typical of many troubled poets and writers. Rewinding the tape of  the last 10 years, maybe the most important, I can only be happy with the choices I made and the decisions I took because they led me to become the mature and sensitive woman I am now.

Ciao ragazze,

come alcune di voi già sanno l'8 settembre è stato il mio compleanno, il mio trentesimo compleanno. Fa un certo effetto, anche se onestamente mi sento sotto certi aspetti ancora giovane, piena di energie ed ideali. A fine agosto sono tornata in Italia, nel paese dove sono cresciuta, con una serie di nuovi progetti in cantiere. E' un nuovo inizio, perchè quando si torna dopo un lungo viaggio, un'esperienza di vita di oltre cinque anni, si è profondamente diversi. I luoghi sono sempre gli stessi, le abitudini pure, ma c'è un mondo nuovo dentro di te, che spesso la gente fatica a capire, specialmente i familiari e gli amici di sempre. Mettersi in gioco, adattarsi a nuove realtà, imparare una nuova lingua e lasciare la zona comfort in cui si è cresciuti non può che fortificare il carattere e togliere tanti pregiudizi e clichè sociali, ma al tempo stesso rende più forte il senso di appartenenza alla terra da cui si proviene, facendo riaffiorare quella malinconia tipica di molti poeti e scrittori tormentati. Riavvolgendo il nastro degli ultimi 10 anni della mia vita, forse i più importanti, non posso che essere felice delle scelte fatte e delle decisioni prese perchè mi hanno portata a diventare la donna matura e sensibile che sono ora.
