La peor prisión es un corazón cerrado

Hi girls,

August's nearly over so, taking advantage of a decent tan, how not to dedicate a post to the typical summer look:  the bikini. As a location I chose "platja del Forum", one of the few wild beaches not crowded with tourists in Barcelona. I'm in love with the sea in all its aspects, in the colder seasons for that veil of melancholy and in spring-summer to enjoy the sun, a pic-nick on the beach and a refreshing bath. I like walking by the sea and listening to the sound of  waves as well as I enjoy walking around the harbor, a place I consider so charming. Boats moored, cruise ships ready to sail, ferries .... arrivals and departures .... stories to tell and others that are about to be born ... and finally the gulls, so cunning and savage, free to fly anywhere, without brakes, guardians and keepers of the sea ( together with cats, gulls are the favorite subjects of my photographs). I was born and raised in a village at the foot of the Alps, but since I was a child I've always felt a strong connection with the sea. I remember my summers in Varigotti and Pietra Ligure, the colored houses and the palm-covered avenues, a feeling of levity and well-being! Living in a coastal town is a great privilege and the best therapy for the body and mind, I guess. What do you think about it?

Ciao ragazze,

ormai agosto sta finendo e, approfittando di una discreta abbronzatura, come non dedicare un post al tipico look estivo: il bikini. Come location ho scelto la platja del Forum, una delle poche spiagge selvagge e non affollate da turisti di Barcellona. Sono un'amante del mare in tutte le sue sfumature, nelle stagioni più fredde per quel suo velo di malinconia e in primavera-estate per godere del sole, di un pic-nick sulla spiaggia e un bagno rinfrescante. Amo camminare in riva al mare, ascoltando il rumore delle onde e mi piace passeggiare al porto, un luogo che trovo affascinante. Barche ormeggiate, navi da crociera pronte a salpare, traghetti....arrivi e partenze....storie da raccontare e altre che stanno per nascere...e poi i gabbiani, così astuti e selvaggi, liberi di volare dovunque, senza freni, i guardiani e i custodi del mare (confesso che insieme ai gatti sono i soggetti preferiti dei miei scatti fotografici). Sono nata e cresciuta in un paese ai piedi delle Alpi, ma sin da piccola ho sempre sentito una forte sintonia con il mare...ricordo le mie estati in Liguria, a Varigotti e a Pietra ligure, le case colorate e i viali ricoperti di palme e una sensazione di spensieratezza e benessere! Credo che vivere in una città costiera sia un grande privilegio e un'ottima terapia per il fisico e per la mente. Voi cosa ne pensate?
