SEMPLICITA'

Hotel SB Diagonal Zero, Barcelona, Spain. January, 2016

SIMPLICITY IS THE ULTIMATE SOPHISTICATION

 Hi girls,
how was your weekend? Mine very quiet. Here in Barcelona is raining (it's a bit rare considering the Mediterranean climate)....I take advantage of that to relax and look for a good job....I'm so stressed out for this, I'm looking  for something that could take account of my academic education, personal experiences and languages I speak.....uff...looks so hard....the main problem, in my opinion, is that the selection of candidates is made online and the main thing is work experience, so people with a good academic background but without 3-5 years of work experience are disadvantaged....I think should change the general approach and some selection criteria....you can work in the same area for many years and do it bad, without passion and enthusiasm....I thought a lot if I've to settle for anything, but I think I deserve something better than I did in the past....It's not about arrogance or conceit, it's simply believing in yourself and in your own ability. Trouble and commitment should be rewarded at some point!!!! What's your opinion about?Let me know!!!
Sophia

Ciao ragazze,

  5. I agree with you regarding believing in yourself. I was just thinking about something similar this morning on how sometimes we want something but aim be lower because we feel we might not be ready yet for what we want and don't know yet how to get there. It's ready to end up trap. If we want something we need to do everything necessary and sacrifice a lot sometimes to get to it. It will not be easy but it will be worth it.
I wish you the best dear :)

    1. Yes, that's the point!!!I did so many sacrifices, I studied a lot, worked, also in my free time, spent time for learning different languages...now I'm tired and I've no idea how my future will be, but I know this is my last opportunity and then, if I'll not reach what I want, I'll totally change my life and perspectives...and I'm aware I did all that I could do....I'll regret anything!!!
      A big hug!!!

  8. If you think you even touch the qualifying requirements by just a tad, I say GO FOR IT! Great hiring managers know how to spot passion and room for growth despite how much experience a person has. I think you can truly shine! xx

  9. I like this relaxed vibe you're sporting, you always look lovely in whatever you're wearing. In regards to your question, there are companies who favour more with experience than with qualifications while some the other way around which is really harder to prove in the applicant's part. In that case, you have to sell yourself more by acing the interview part and streamlining your resume to focus more your strengths. Sorry this is long and this is only my opinion, this is what I learned in 20 something years in IT industry here in Sydney which I really want to share too. But I believe you can do it and get the job of dreams. Cheers!

    1. Thanks Mercy, I know it's a complex issue...we could talk about it a long time...I think the hardest thing is to emerge, to catch HR recruiters attention...I also think that a % of luck plays a certain role...Depending on the days I'm tired of apllying or very motivated...Let's see eheheh

I think experience and academic achievements should both be given a chance. Experience is important, but it's not the only thing that matters. Good luck on your career!

  16. Esatto! Ti auguro tanta fortuna!

  19. Love this look, monochrome is always a winner for me! You're so right about the job selection process, so tricky to get all your skills across online.. I would recommend making your CV look amazing, like in the form of a website or something different. Making your application really well tailored to the job also helps I've found. Good luck in your search!
