Dear V,

just two years ago, in September 2014 we met....was a sunny morning when I arrived to the flat together with A. I had just finished seeing the apartment and my new bedroom when you arrived with your bicycle and a big smile on the face....I first noticed a little look in your eyes of interest and I remember thinking that you weren't the typical pretty boy, but rather something more....an interesting man. That day and days to come I was so busy that I had no time for flirting with you and when you left for your long holidays in USA I've been thinking a lot about us, our different personalities & tempers, the risk of start a relationship being flatmates and fear had me pinned down....Over time I had the possibility to look at you in all your facets and you did the same with me....When I usually go out for a date I'm perfect (beautiful, well dressed and made up, in a good mood), but you saw me in my natural version, with my mood swings, my Disney's pyjamas, my menstrual stomach ache, my beauty rituals like face masks or anti-aging creams....even red as a shrimp that day I fell asleep on the beach and I got a sunburn and I came home crying like a child....That's, I think, the best way to know a person....perhaps also for this it was really hard to forget you

proprio due anni fa, nel Settembre 2014, ci siamo conosciuti....era una mattina soleggiata quando arrivai all'appartamento insieme ad A. Avevo appena finito di visitare la casa e quella che sarebbe diventata la mia stanza quando arrivasti con la bicicletta e un sorriso smagliante...Sin da subito notai uno sguardo curioso e un po' indagatore nei tuoi occhi e ricordo di aver pensato che non fossi il tipico belloccio, tuttavia c'era qualcosa di interessante in te che mi colpì. Quel giorno e i giorni a venire ebbi così tante cose da fare (documenti vari e l'inizio del lavoro) da non pensare a flirtare con te e quando poco dopo partisti per la tua lunga vacanza negli Stati Uniti mi misi a riflettere su di noi, sui nostri caratteri troppo diversi, sul rischio nel lanciarsi in qualcosa di incerto essendo vicini di stanza....e la paura mi bloccò...Col tempo ebbi modo di conoscerti in tutte le tue sfaccettature e tu facesti lo stesso con me...Di solito quando esco per un appuntamento sono perfetta (bella, ben vestita e truccata, di buon umore), mentre tu mi hai vista nella mia versione più intima e naturale, con i miei umori ballerini, i miei pigiami della Disney, i miei mal di pancia da ciclo, i rituali di bellezza quali maschere per il viso o creme anti-età...persino rossa come un peperone quella volta che mi addormentai sulla spiaggia e mi ustionai e tornai a casa piangendo come una bambina...Questo, io credo, sia il modo migliore per conoscere una persona....forse anche per questo è stato difficile dimenticarti.
