Dear friends,

I'd like to know if you ever ended  love affairs or friendships for a misunderstanding....Lately I've been thinking about the lack of dialogue in relationships as well as about unspoken words or half-spoken words for fear of  overextending....I'm not very good in expressing my feelings and just one year ago, the night before leaving Barcelona, I wrote a letter to my ex flatmate, at the beginning just a friend and then, over time, I started to look at him as something more than a simple roommate. In the letter, without thinking he could misunderstanding, I criticised his behaviors and he reacted very badly, shutting himself in and dropping me forever when I left the city; I did the same in anger and pride.....By the time I realized I made a mistake and I started to be nostalgic and regret not speaking to him, only for trying to act tough and wait for his reaction, not even realizing we built a wall between us.

Care amiche,

mi piacerebbe sapere se vi è mai capitato, per un' incomprensione, di chiudere una storia d'amore o di amicizia....da tempo sto riflettendo sulla mancanza di dialogo nelle relazioni, sulle parole non dette o dette tra le righe per paura di esporsi troppo...Io non sono molto brava nell'esprimere i miei sentimenti e proprio un anno fa, la notte prima di lasciare Barcellona, scrissi una lettera al mio ex coinquilino, che all'inizio vedevo come un amico ma che con il passare dei mesi è diventato qualcosa in più. Nella lettera, senza pensare che potesse fraintendere, ho criticato certi suoi atteggiamenti e lui ha reagito malissimo, chiudendosi in se stesso e cancellandomi dalla sua vita una volta lasciata la città; io, per rabbia e orgoglio, ho fatto lo stesso....Solo col tempo ho iniziato a provare nostalgia e rimpianto per non avere parlato con lui, per aver voluto fare la dura e aspettare una sua reazione, senza darmi conto che entrambi avevamo creato un muro.
